Comal River Tattoo's owner Nathan Alderete has been tattooing since 2008 and opened his new studio in downtown New Braunfels in February 2023. Comal River Tattoo offers traditional American, black and gray, fine-line, color tattoo work. The studio welcomes walk-in clients and features guest tattoo artists.
Electric Wizard Tattoo owner Joel Valkner opened his studio in 2019 and specializes in traditional, Japanese styles and color. The studio features tattoo games where customers pay a non-refundable fee and win a tattoo from a mystery box, gum ball machine or a game of darts. In July, the studio donates annually to the Humane Society of New Braunfels as part of their "Tats for Tails" fundraiser for cleaning and pet supplies.
Forsaken Ink owner and tattoo artist Christopher Gonzalez offers 20 years of experience in black and gray tattoos. Forsaken Ink’s other artists specialize in surrealist art, color, flash and minimalist tattoos.
Indie Ink owners Grace and Tyler Wise specialize in hand poke tattoo styles. The by-appointment-only studio creates delicate, minimalist styles using single-use needles for a dot-like effect.
Claire Von Crow and Serj have over 10 years of experience and cater to any style of art at Free Spirit Tattoo Co., such as traditional, fine-line, portrait, black and gray, illustrative, watercolor and more.
The studio Onyx Tattoos and Piercings offers illustrative, traditional and color work as well as piercings. Aside from tattoo work, the shop’s website features piercing jewelry and aftercare accessories.
