A new independent coffee trailer opened on Business I-35 in New Braunfels.

The gist

Cool Beans Coffee Beans opened at the end of April and specializes in a variety of drinks made with sugar-free alternatives. Owners Azariah Arevalo and Ariel Valadez make the drinks from coffee Arevalo roasts off-site. Regardless of the country of origin for the green coffee beans he roasts, Arevalo said he focuses only on using the peaberry variety.

“For about two years I went down the rabbit hole, learning so much, but all these other coffee shops have a lot of sugar [in their drinks], ... so I wanted to find something more natural,” Arevalo said.
