“We are incredibly honored to receive the two-key designation from the Michelin Guide,” said Jon Sakshaug, CEO of Hotel Emma in a news release. “This accolade is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and encourages and inspires us to continue delivering the highest standards of hospitality.”

The Michelin hotel guide awards up to three keys: one key for "a very special stay"; two keys for "an exceptional stay"; three keys for "an extraordinary stay."

Hotel Emma was one of three destinations to earn the award. The other two-key recipients were the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin and the Bowie House in Fort Worth. 17 other hotels across Texas received a one-key award.

Hotel Emma is located off the San Antonio River in the Pearl district. The luxury hotel features 146 rooms in a former 19th-century brewery and offers multiple restaurants.
