She discussed the item at the Court’s June 28 regular meeting.
What you need to know
Wisian said that redrawing the boundary would be necessary since the county is planning to move Precinct 2’s Justice of the Peace Office to the Burdick Community Center.
The community center, which is currently located within Precinct 1 at 119 Old San Antonio Road in Boerne, would need to be moved into Precinct 2, according to Wisian.
The boundary between Precincts 1 and 2 runs directly along Old San Antonio Road, according to Kendall County's general map.
“We’ll be able to move that boundary line so that the Burdick Center can sit in Precinct 2,” she said.
The outlook
Wisian said that the County consulted with a law firm to “make it official,” but it still needs to be officially approved by the Court.
While no action was taken by the Court to order the amended plan during the June 24 meeting, Commissioner Wisian said that they will vote on the plan during their next scheduled regular meeting on July 8.
Precinct 1 is served by Commissioner Jennifer McCall, while Wisian oversees Precinct 2.
