Why are you running for Mayor?
I am a dedicated advocate for Boerne, committed to ethical governance, transparency, and responsible stewardship. With thoughtful leadership, fiscal integrity, and environmental stewardship, we can preserve Boerne’s unique character while ensuring a thriving future for generations to come.
What are the biggest challenges Boerne is facing?
Impacts of growth. Growth must be thoughtful and respect our limited resources. The city should not support development beyond our boundaries unless it provides its own water and helps mitigate traffic. Any growth should enhance our community, not burden it, ensuring sustainable development that preserves Boerne’s character and quality of life.
In a community survey, residents highlighted the need for road
improvements and responsible growth, how do you plan to work towards addressing those
concerns?
I championed some of the City’s most stringent development regulations that continue to earn statewide recognition. Upholding these regulations is essential to mitigating the impacts of development, including environmental, traffic, and resource concerns. It is crucial that those responsible for enforcement apply these standards rigorously and without manipulation.
What is something you would like Boerne Residents to know about you?
As mayor, I will lead with integrity, strengthen oversight and ensure decisions are made in the best interest of our community, putting Boerne first—not special interests. I am committed to responsible stewardship. Any growth or development should serve the people of Boerne—not the other way around.
