About the business
Owner Brittney Likovich said she started the business to help encourage people to reuse old containers for refilling household products.
Customers can bring their own containers, which they weigh before filling with products such as laundry detergent, dish soap or shampoo. After filling, the container is weighed again, and the customer is charged for the weight of the product purchased.
“You are only paying for the product,” she said. “You are not paying for the commercial shipping, you are not paying that overhead, just the product.”
Likovich said the products in the store are provided through other locally owned businesses with a focus on simpler products that have less chemicals and other additives when compared to larger brands.
“Ecofriendly products are good for your home, but the reason I wanted to open this is to reduce the amount of plastic waste,” she said. “I have a family of five, and we go through so many plastic containers when recycling.”
