Williamson County redistricting maps for constables, justices of the peace and commissioners have been made available for public comment online.
Comments must be submitted here by Nov. 8 at noon to be considered by the county. According to a release from the county, maps for the voter precincts are not required to be completed by the Nov. 13 deadline set by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, but will be proposed and voted on during a December Commissioners Court meeting.
The deadline that will need to be met by the commissioners, associated with the March 1 primary election, requires changes to boundary lines to be ordered no later than Dec. 30. These new boundaries will go into effect Jan. 1.
Community Impact Newspaper previously reported that the draft map to be used for discussion by commissioners would be up by Nov. 9, with action being taken to approve or disapprove the map Nov. 16.
