The city of Round Rock furthered work on the Wyoming Springs Drive extension, which will construct a new four-lane divided roadway with shared-use paths, extending over Brushy Creek from Creek Bend Boulevard to Old Settlers Boulevard.
The update
Last week, contractors set beams for multiple bridges that are part of the project, according to a city Facebook post. Estimates put project completion at fall of 2026 or spring of 2027.
By offering an additional north-south route in west Round Rock, the Wyoming Springs extension is expected to reduce traffic congestion on Old Settlers Boulevard, Sam Bass Road and Creek Bend Boulevard, according to city staff.
