A project to connect Eagles Nest Street to Chisholm Trail in Round Rock will begin construction early next year, according to a filing with Texas Department of Licensing and Registration. This is the first phase of a two-phase project.
About the project
Phase one includes an almost 1-mile, four-lane road section connecting the streets on either side of I-35, from Cypress Boulevard to North Mays Street. The project plans also show a bridge crossing over Chandler Branch of Brushy Creek as well as one over the highway.
The first phase of the project went to bid Oct. 1 and is estimated to begin construction within three to four months, according to city documents.
