Polling data shows just 6% of registered voters cast early ballots in Williamson County

Just 6.3% of registered Williamson County voters cast their ballots during early voting for the Nov. 2, 2021 Constitutional Amendment and Special Election.

Preliminary data for Early Voting in Williamson County shows a turnout of 24,747 ballots cast from Oct. 18 to Oct. 29, with the highest number of early and provisional ballots cast in one day—5,762—on Oct. 29. A total of 392,247 people are registered to vote in Williamson County for this election.

Of the 24,747 ballots cast before polls closed Oct. 29, 22,911 were cast in-person, 1,789 were submitted by mail, 17 were limited ballots and 30 were provisional, polling data shows.

While numbers are down from the 70% turnout seen during early voting for the Nov. 3, 2020 election, turnout is slightly higher than the last off-year election In 2019, when a 21,310 ballots were cast during early voting, according to county polling data, while 344,244 people were registered to vote.

The polling location with the largest turnout for early voting was the Sun City Cowan Creek Amenity Center, with 3,499 in-person voters. That was followed by the Georgetown ISD Technology Building, with 2,649 in-person voters, and Cedar Park Randalls, with 2,220 in-person ballots cast.
