Round Rock ISD held a ribbon-cutting Sept. 16 to celebrate the opening of Boys & Girls Clubs after-school programs at 10 elementary school campuses.
About the program
The clubs, which began operating in RRISD at the beginning of the 2026-27 school year, provide free on-campus after-school care for children ages 5 and older until 6 p.m. each school day. Students receive homework support and tutoring as well as enrichment activities.
There are now Boys & Girls Clubs at the following schools:
Anderson Mill Elementary
Berkman Elementary
Bluebonnet Elementary
Caldwell Heights Elementary
Callison Elementary
Joe Lee Johnson Elementary
Robertson Elementary
Union Hill Elementary
Voigt Elementary
Wells Branch Elementary
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area was awarded a $9 million, five-year Texas Afterschool Centers on Education grant to fund the programming.
