Why now?
These campuses were identified for improvement based on state and federal accountability requirements, or because a recent grant award required them.
Anderson Mill and Joe Lee Johnson received "F" ratings for 2025, while Callison received a "D," district documents show. Based on accountability standards, these campuses require improvement plans.
Bluebonnet also scored a "D," while Wells Branch and Deerpark earned "C" ratings. In addition to performance requirements, the district was also selected to receive a combined total of $1.3 million in LASO 3 IL grant funds to support instructional leadership for some of these campuses, requiring additional oversight, Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez said.
Did you know?
The district received a "B" rating overall in 2025, with about 80% of all campuses earning a rating of "B" or higher.
