The camouflage systems manufacturer Ametrine Inc. is relocating from Maryland to Round Rock after the City Council approved an economic development incentive agreement at the meeting on Jan. 14.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ametrine, Inc. to the community,” Mayor Craig Morgan said. “Round Rock continues to be attractive for relocating businesses due to our pro-business attitude and family-friendly environment. We are also a strategic location for defense industry companies and hope to continue to grow the presence of this industry cluster.”
A 40,000-square-foot facility at Settlers Crossing on 900 E. Old Settlers Blvd., Ste. 100, Round Rock, will become Ametrine’s new home. According to the news release, the company plans to bring 140 new jobs ranging from production, engineering, management and administration with an average wage of around $75,000.
Additionally, Ametrine plans to invest an estimated $8.6 million in business personal property and real property improvements. Business personal property is defined in the incentive agreement as equipment that costs a minimum of $5,000 to be used for manufacturing operations at the new facility. Real property improvements are the design, reconstruction, repair and remodeling changes that will be made to the facility.
