As more businesses flood into the Central Texas area to accommodate the growing needs of manufacturing companies such as Samsung Semiconductor Austin, which is building a $17 billion chip plant in Taylor, one South Korea-based supplier has chosen Round Rock to set up its new U.S. headquarters.

MSS International, a supplier of gas sensor and piping to Samsung’s semiconductor supply chain, recently purchased office space at 3000 Joe DiMaggio Blvd., Round Rock. It remains unclear when the company will begin operating. Meanwhile, Samsung's Taylor plant is expected to be fully operational by 2025.
MSS International President Min Jung Kim said in a news release the company chose Round Rock because “it is a very business-friendly environment while providing close proximity to the major economic centers of activity in the Greater Austin area.”
