Cheetah Crew Homeschool Athletics now serving the Round Rock area

Homeschool athletes ages 5-17 have a new place to build coordination, agility, strength and other skills each week.

About the business

Cheetah Crew Homeschool Athletics began meeting on Fridays in early September at the Round Rock Sports Center.

Locally owned by Corey and Mandy Maxon, the homeschool physical education and athletics program offers weekly classes to develop students' fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, character and fundamental athletic skills.

The program is broken into three age groups, with younger elementary school-aged students in the Cheetah Paws program, older elementary students in the Cheetah Crew and middle and high school-aged students in Cheetah Teens.

In their own words

"We both have fond memories of PE classes in school, those fun games and activities," Corey Maxon said. "We wanted to recreate some of that for homeschool communities."

What's next?

In an email to Community Impact, the Maxons said they intend to expand programming availability depending on demand.

The Maxons said they are also in the process of becoming a Texas Education Freedom Account-certified vendor.
