According to the Williamson County Association of Realtors, more than 25 percent of the deeds transferred in May were non-owner-occupied properties.
Those numbers are parallel with national statistics, which may not be a good sign, according to National Association of Realtors President William E. Brown.
“The decline and stagnation in the home ownership rate is a trend that’s pointing in the wrong direction and must be reversed, given the many benefits of home ownership to individuals, communities and the nation’s economy,” Brown said.
