With Round Rock ISD classes beginning 100% virtually Aug. 20, the district announced Aug. 10 it will also resume its curbside meal services for students on the first day of school. For services provided during the first three weeks of the school year, families are asked to fill out an online meal form and request services by Aug. 17.
If 100% virtual learning continues past the anticipated three-week time frame, families will not be asked to fill out an additional meal order form. Distribution sites for virtual learning students may change as in-person learning resumes, the release added.
Parents who do not fill out an online meal form for their student are still allowed to pick up meals and must have their student's ID or a district document that includes their child's ID number available during the pickup process.
Meal distribution services will be held Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-noon, per the email. Meal distributions will provide lunch and breakfast for the following day as part of the process. Families are asked to write their student's ID on a piece of paper and place it on their car's dashboard during the pickup process.
