With 97 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Williamson County as of April 8, more residents are prioritizing their health and taking preventative measures against contracting the coronavirus. Baylor Scott & White Health is offering in-person testing for the coronavirus at its clinics on a case-by-case basis, according to BSW Health representatives.
“If a provider advises that a patient should be tested for COVID-19, specimen collection can be arranged at a Baylor Scott & White medical facility or drive-thru specimen collection site," the statement read. "They might be directed to these sites after they complete an online screening questionnaire and subsequent consultation with our medical team. Please note that specimen collection sites may relocate based on a number of factors.”
Baylor Scott and White staff stressed the importance of taking the online questionnaire before showing up in-person to a testing location. Following the completion of the online questionnaire, individuals may be directed to one of several area testing sites, based on a number of factors, staff said.
