1. Electrical distributor Summit Electric Supply opened a new service center Nov. 1 at 1002 N. Central Expressway, Ste. 511, Richardson. The 6,500-square-foot service center offers a full customer service counter for electrical professionals, a refreshment area, and a will call desk for phone and online orders. 5. The hotel Element by Westin opened Oct. 4 at 2205 N. Glenville Drive, Richardson. The $22 million hotel features 123 suites over four stories. Each suite offers a fully equipped kitchen and spa-inspired bathrooms, according to a news release. The hotel also offers a fitness center, a saline pool and a Bikes to Borrow program for its guests.
