Q&A: Meet the candidates running for U.S. House District 32

Why are you running for this position?

I’m running for Congress to bring practical, people-centered leadership to Washington. As a Richardson City Councilman, former teacher, community servant and business leader, I’ve seen how government decisions affect families. Through hard work, education and community, I built my American dream and want every child to have that same opportunity.

What are the biggest challenges facing this district?

The biggest challenges are affordability, health care costs, public education and infrastructure, but also restoring trust in government. Congress must be more honest, transparent and accountable. I support taking money out of politics, meaningful ethics reforms and term limits so government works for people, not special interests.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

My top priorities are making life more affordable, protecting Social Security and Medicare, strengthening public education, expanding access to quality health care and investing in infrastructure. I also want to work across party lines to deliver practical solutions and help restore people’s faith that Congress can get things done.

How will you ensure your constituents receive the resources they need in a redrawn congressional district?

A redrawn district makes constituent service more important than ever. I’ve lived here for 20 years and served as a volunteer, educator and City Councilman. I will maintain an accessible presence throughout TX 32, meeting residents where they are, listening first and connecting every community with the federal resources they need and deserve.

Why are you running for this position?

I’ve served our country in the Air Force and spent my career defending our constitutional freedoms. I’m running because Washington needs more people who remember who they work for. I want to fight for Texas families and leave our country stronger for the next generation.

What are the biggest challenges facing this district?

The cost of living is squeezing families, our border needs to be secured and communities need good jobs and reliable, affordable energy. This district is also growing quickly, and we need to keep up with that growth without losing the character and values that make our communities special.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

I’ll focus on securing the border, cutting wasteful spending, keeping taxes low and making American energy abundant and affordable. I’ll stand up to China, defend our constitutional freedoms, support law enforcement and make sure the men and women who served our country receive the benefits they earned.

How will you ensure your constituents receive the resources they need in a redrawn congressional district?

It starts with showing up. I’ll spend time throughout the district, listen to local officials and residents and make sure people can actually reach their representative. My office will help constituents navigate federal agencies and work with every community to make sure its needs aren’t overlooked.
