Madison Clark will be the new executive director of the Prosper Economic Development Corporation, according to a June 17 news release.
She joins the PEDC from the McKinney Economic Development Corporation, where she most recently served as the director of business retention and workforce development, per the release. The position in Prosper has been vacant for about a year.

Clark has almost 15 years of experience in economic development, according to the release.
National consulting firm Consultant Connect named Clark one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers in 2025 for her work at the MEDC creating jobs and attracting investment.
Clark also brings her perspective as a small business owner to the role. She owns Softroc of McKinney, a franchise location offering rubber surfacing for pool decks, patios and driveways, according to her social media.
“Economic development is ultimately about creating opportunities,” she said in the release. “When you focus on people, positive things tend to follow.”
Some context
The PEDC is a nonprofit corporation created by the town of Prosper to promote the local economy by supporting existing businesses and attracting new investment, according to the PEDC’s website.
Half a cent of Prosper’s sales tax goes to fund the PEDC.
As executive director, one of Clark’s primary responsibilities will be stewarding development along Dallas North Tollway, per the release.
A long time coming
The PEDC spent roughly a year searching for a new executive director.
The previous executive director, Mary Ann Moon, left the position in July 2025, according to her social media.
Clark will start as executive director July 20, according to the release.
