McKinney residents turn to alternative energy sources

In February 2021, Winter Storm Uri left millions of Texans without power. This summer, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas has issued multiple energy conservation requests due to record temperatures resulting in increased electricity usage.

Following the events of the winter storm, some residents have decided to turn to alternative energy sources to power their residential properties.
