On Nov. 16, many of Austin’s business leaders gathered at the JW Marriott downtown for the Austin Chamber of Commerce’s annual Economic Outlook event, where experts gathered to take stock of factors affecting the region’s growth and forecast upcoming economic conditions.

Discussions at the function centered on the unprecedented contrasts seen in the U.S. economy amplified at the local level. Keynote speakers included real estate Mark Dotzour, who served as chief economist for Texas A&M University's Real Estate Research Center for 18 years, and Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.
