Renovation plans are moving forward for Church of Christ on McDermott Road.

Plano's planning and zoning commission approved a preliminary replat, which allows for changes to current facility easements that are needed for the proposed expansion, per city documents. Plano Associate Planner Ana Sutter said the easements have also been approved by public safety officials.
The renovations will add two-story classrooms, a lobby and restrooms to existing facilities at the church, according to a filing from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Renovations are estimated to start in mid-January and be completed before the end of 2027.
