Why are you running for office?
Texas House District 70 deserves a representative who represents the district instead of a progressive liberal agenda.
What are the biggest challenges facing the district?
HD70 has a diverse population which benefits from a thriving local and private economy. The biggest challenges will be to reduce the burden of excessive or wasteful government, reduce property tax burden, improve education, control health care costs, and maintain and improve our infrastructure.
How do you plan to address these issues?
Increase transparency of government spending and programs, so that good decisions can be made about whether the programs can be improved, whether there is waste or abuse, and whether tax dollars are being wisely and appropriately spent. Support good laws which encourage private enterprise and entrepreneurship, and which improve opportunity …
If you are elected, what can residents expect from you?
I will work hard for them, and I will communicate regularly during the session with information about what is happening in Austin, how I am voting and why I am voting that way. I will be respectful and listen. I will provide this district with strong principled conservative representation.
Why are you running for office?
Covid era policies demonstrated the importance of local and state level administrations with regulations on churches, schools and businesses. I believe that with proper governance, we can see Dallas grow to be the fiscal capital of the world and North Texas can have soil where the Kingdom of God flourishes.
What are the biggest challenges facing the district?
North Texas is focused on growth, so the challenges my district faces are the associated infrastructural and cultural problems that have come with this growth. For the infrastructure, concerns are with energy, water and roads. Culturally, we have quickly transformed from a rural suburb to an urban suburb.
How do you plan to address these issues?
We need to address these infrastructure problems in a way that accounts for demand increases from population growth, investing in systems that limit inefficiencies and losses. Businesses and people come here because it’s the best place to raise a family; we have great schools and low crime. Strengthen these advantages!
If you are elected, what can residents expect from you?
Residents should expect a vision-oriented legislator who carefully analyzes bills through a developed business, legal and moral framework. I believe in a Texas where families are safe, businesses grow and communities thrive — because we choose policies that work. I want the quality of life to improve for all Texans.
I am an attorney and have been representing the people of North Texas since 2014.
Why are you running for office?
To improve the life of every person who calls HD 70 home. I want prosperity and a high quality of life for our district. I want more freedom and less government. And I want better infrastructure, from our water to our grid to our roads.
What are the biggest challenges facing the district?
Infrastructure, cost of living and growth-related challenges are some of the most significant. For example, we need to expand and diversify our water supply. We also need to increase the output and stability of our electric grid. Texas’ property taxes are also some of the highest in the nation.
How do you plan to address these issues?
By working to make sure we have the infrastructure to handle the growth and allow residents to enjoy a high quality of life. I want to make sure life is affordable, and will work to lower property taxes. And I want to empower our local governments to tackle these challenges.
If you are elected, what can residents expect from you?
Someone who will work hard and always put them first. And someone who will be a fierce advocate for our district in Austin. I’ve spent my entire career successfully advocating for my clients. Now, I want to use my skill and experience to serve my community as state representative.
