Nashville-based Hattie B’s Hot Chicken opened its Plano location in mid-June.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken offers five spice-levels, from its mild to its “Shut the Cluck Up!”. Visitors seeking non-spicy options can also choose from the restaurant’s classic Southern fried chicken and sweet and smoky dry rub options, according to a news release.
Some of its more popular options include the classic chicken sandwich with custom sauce and pickles, dirty bird fries that are loaded with pimento mac and cheese and desserts like banana pudding, peach cobbler and a waffle sundae.
“We love watching our people grow as we continue to expand in the great state of Texas, and we can’t wait to serve up some heat, hospitality and a whole lot of chicken to this awesome community,” co-founder Nick Bishop Jr. said.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken was founded by a father and son in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012, per the news release. The restaurant is now a Michelin-recommended restaurant. Restaurants with this honor use quality ingredients that are well-cooked, according to the Michelin Guide.
The restaurant now has locations in six different states, with four locations in Texas. The Plano location is its second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. A Hattie B's media representative said its first location in Dallas opened in Deep Ellum in 2022 before relocating to Oak Lawn in October 2024.
