The following five businesses are set to open their doors in Plano later this year.
1. Chally Bridal & Prom is set to open on Aug. 11 in Plano, according to co-owner James Kang. The store in the Shops at Willow Bend, just outside of the Dillard’s, will sell wedding and prom dresses. The 40,000-square-foot space will also feature an event center, and will be the largest wedding salon in Texas, according to Kang. Kang and his wife, Ann, owned a bridal store in Missouri for 25 years before moving to Texas three years ago. 2. Bakery chain House of Bread plans to open a new location at 1941 Preston Road, Ste. A1012. The restaurant is expected to open later this summer, according to a spokesperson for the company. House of Bread serves a variety of handmade bread loaves and other baked goods, such as cinnamon rolls, muffins and croissants. 3. Crunch Fitness is expected to open this fall, according to a news release from the company. Crunch Fitness, which will be located 1701 Preston Road, will offer group fitness classes, cardio and strength training equipment, tanning beds, a sauna and more. 4. Health-focused restaurant Flower Child is opening a location in Plano. The restaurant is expected to open later this year at 2101 Preston Road, Ste. A, according to a news release from the company. Flower Child is known for its salads, bowls, wraps and hippie-inspired aesthetic.
