The city of Plano is seeking volunteers for the Annual Homeless Census, also known as the Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, which is set to take place Jan. 23.
What you need to know
The PIT count is conducted annually across the county, and requires volunteers to “identify individuals experiencing homelessness, conduct surveys in their assigned area in the City of Plano, and distribute resources and care packages,” according to the city’s website.
Individuals 18 years old and older have until Jan. 15 to sign up.
