Pflugerville approves agreement for intersection project at Pflugerville Parkway and FM 685

Several additions, including new turn lanes, are on the way to the intersection of East Pflugerville Parkway and FM 685 in Pflugerville.

On March 28, Pflugerville City Council approved a local on-system improvement agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the improvements.

The scope of the project includes displaced left-turn and U-turn lanes on Pflugerville Parkway, according to city materials. It will also add new traffic signals and adjust existing signal timing.

The agreement with TxDOT allows the city to perform work within the state's right of way.

Design is underway on the project; city materials indicate the city will coordinate with neighboring businesses on precise locations for the turn lanes.

The project is one of several transportation projects included in the city's 2020 bond package.
