Home sales and prices down in August in Pflugerville, Hutto

Median home prices in August were down year over year in Pflugerville and Hutto, but so were home sales, according to data from the Austin Board of Realtors.

Homes also lingered on the market longer than last year, for over twice as many days.

Between the two cities, Hutto—ZIP code 78634—saw the largest drop in median home prices in August at nearly 16%.

Despite the price drops, the number of homes sold in both cities were also down compared to last August. Hutto also saw the largest drop in home sales at just over 13%.

One consistency was the average number of days homes spent on the market. Homes in both Pflugerville and Hutto stayed on the market longer—last year, homes spent around three weeks on the market, but this year, they sat for over a month.
