Pair of eastern Pflugerville ISD campuses near completion

Pflugerville ISD is rounding out the completion of a bloc of campuses in east Pflugerville as construction and other work advances at Jessica Carpenter Elementary and Bohls Middle schools.

During a Dec. 16 board meeting, Gary Schulte, who is with the PfISD Facilities and Maintenance Department, told officials the campuses are just about done with some work on various parts of Bohls ongoing.

District documents state Carpenter is 99.9% complete following the passage of school zone ordinances on Wolf Pack Drive, Benica and Pleasanton Parkway by Pflugerville City Council on Dec. 14.

While students are already attending Carpenter, Bohls, which has had its completion deadline delayed several times in 2021, should be ready for students by early January.

To accommodate the delay at Bohls, sixth-grade students slated to attend the campus have spent the fall semester at Carpenter, and seventh- and eighth-graders have been at Cele Middle School.

Per district documents, sections A, B and C of Bohls are 92% complete, and sections D, E, F, G and H are 84% complete. Students are anticipated to attend the campus in January.

"The main project is getting Bohls ready for students," Schulte said.
