Several tracts of land along Ed Schmidt Boulevard could soon be annexed into Hutto for use in various multifamily and light industrial developments.
Hutto City Council will consider annexing the tracts, which total approximately 225 acres, at an April 6 meeting.
The 56.3-acre CTC Emory Tract, located at the southeast corner of Ed Schmidt Boulevard and Emory Crossing, would be zoned for multifamily use.
For the CTC Emory Tract, council will also consider planned unit development zoning, which would prohibit developer Taylor Morrison from building balconies or porches facing existing properties to the north of the development.
