An upcoming residential development called CTC at Emory Crossing will bring approximately 330 attached and detached for-rent homes to Hutto.
The 56.3-acre development, located at the southeast corner of Ed Schmidt Boulevard and Emory Crossing, will be developed by homebuilder Taylor Morrison.
At an April 6 meeting, Hutto City Council approved an ordinance annexing the land into the city and another establishing planned unit development—or PUD—zoning for the development.
The PUD includes a provision requiring that CTC at Emory Crossing include 20.9 acres of public parkland. According to an April 6 presentation from Hutto Development Services Director Ashley Bailey, the parkland will be located on the east half of the development and will include connectivity to existing trails.
