Pearland City Council at its Feb. 28 meeting passed a resolution naming the members that will serve in the citizens drainage bond program advisory committee.
“I do want to thank those who are willing to serve on this committee,” Pearland Mayor Kevin Cole said. “I think it will be great work, but it will be work, so it will be good to see it all done.”
Pearland City Council at its Feb. 14 regular meeting adopted the creation of the committee. The committee’s purpose is to evaluate, review and prioritize potential projects for a drainage bond referendum as well as recognizing partnership opportunities for projects with Brazoria Drainage District No. 4, or BDD4, and other entities, Pearland City Manager Clay Pearson said.
According to agenda documents, the committee will consist of Pearland Mayor Kevin Cole, Council Members Tony Carbone and Alex Kamkar, Larry Berger, who is Pearland ISD’s assistant superintendent for support services, Alvin ISD board of trustee Vivian Scheibel and Pearland Economic Development Corp. director Jerry Koza.
