Along with a $60 million expansion, which will double the size of the hospital, increasing patient rooms to provide more beds, expanding the emergency room to improve access and reduce wait times, a new chief nursing officer has joined the Pearland hospital as of November, a representative with the hospital said. Before joining HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland, Jenn Bowman most recently served as assistant chief nursing officer at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake.

Robotic bronchoscopy, which is a minimally invasive procedure for patients with pulmonary ailments that allows examination of the trachea and lungs, is now available at Memorial Hermann Southeast, a representative with the hospital said.

In other news, Noel J. Cárdenas, senior vice president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital and Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital, has been named chair-elect in 2025 and chair in 2026 of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
