Destination: Hope, a joint fundraising gala hosted by the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center and the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Williamson County on March 4, grossed more than $325,000—surpassing the two nonprofits’ goal of $200,000.
The net proceeds will be equally divided between the two organizations and go toward their respective missions of serving victims of child abuse in the county, according a press release.
“We are thrilled with the response and support we received for this event,” said Marissa Austin, CASA of Williamson County CEO, said in the release. “It is unusual for a first-time fundraiser to meet its revenue target, and there are no words to thank our supporters for helping us exceed our goal by 40%.”
WCCAC CEO Kerrie Stannell said the gala’s theme aimed to transport attendees back to fond members of their childhood.
