Cloud Cap Restaurants LLC, the parent company to Mangia Pizza, purchased The Pizza Bistro, located at 12001 Burnet Road, in early June.
The company plans to convert the closed Pizza Bistro restaurant into a Mangia Pizza, which operated at the Burnet Road location from 2002–12 before it became The Pizza Bistro. Alori Properties is the landlord.
Cloud Cap Restaurants President Ray Bacon said the company had been discussing plans to purchase the property with Kress Childs—The Pizza Bistro's owner—for several months.
"We're excited about it because it was known for so many years as a Mangia [Pizza] location, and there is still quite a Mangia following in that area," Bacon said. "For us it made perfect sense because people know us."
