Round Rock ISD trustee applications accepted through Aug. 18
Round Rock ISD is accepting prospective candidate applications for five of the seven open trustee positions through Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. Candidates will be elected at-large in November and serve without compensation.
The Place 1 trustee position term is two years and terms for Places 3, 4, 5, and 6 are for four years.
To be eligible to serve as a trustee, a person must:
Be at least age 18
Be a Texas resident
Have not been determined mentally incompetent by a final judgment of a court
Have not been convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned
Be a registered voter
Prospective candidates may pick up filing packets between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at RRISD's Central Administration Tax Office, 1311 Round Rock Ave. For more information about eligibility and the November election, visit www.roundrockisd.org/about_r_r_i_s_d/board_of_trustees/board_elections/
Regular board meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at Round Rock High School's lecture hall, 300 Lake Creek Parkway.
