North and South Austin community members have a range of events to book on their calendars for the fall season. Whether families are interested in catching a showing of a Christmas classic or looking for a local market to stock up on presents, the city has events for everyone to enjoy. This list is not comprehensive. Event details are subject to change.
Swing For Health Topgolf Tournament
With drinks, dinner, a silent auction and a friendly competitive game of golf, Baylor Scott & White Health Greater Austin Region will host the event to benefit its cancer care initiatives. Funds raised at the event will go toward patient-centered programs, including nurse navigators and advanced equipment.
The holiday classic based on the "Peanuts" special will make its return with an adult and student cast ready to portray Charlie Brown’s search for the meaning of Christmas. The 50-minute show is recommended for ages 5 and up and will feature a pay-what-you-wish weekend, shows with accompanying markets and an ASL performance night Dec. 7.

Austin Food & Wine Festival
The 14th annual event will showcase a range of chefs and wine and spirit experts and attendees will get to taste bites from local Austin restaurants. The event will feature cooking demonstrations, drink tastings, a hands-on grilling session and more.
In partnership with Native Texan Two Step, Waterloo Greenway will host an evening of interactive two-step lessons where attendees can embrace their Southern spirit with dance and enjoy a live band performance.

Texas Book Festival
Featuring over 300 authors, the festival will give community members an opportunity to experience presentations, panels, book signings, cooking demonstrations, kids programs, activities and more.

The event will raise funds for The Children’s Therapy Spot, a clinic offering speech, occupational and physical therapy to children. Attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine tasting, a silent auction, a raffle and live music.
The Austin holiday season staple is coming back to town with in-person and virtual shopping options where community members can check out original works perfect for holiday gift shopping while supporting local art.

The justice and civil rights event will host the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative and author of “Just Mercy.” Stevenson has argued and won cases at the U.S. Supreme Court and has served a career initiating major anti-poverty and anti-discrimination efforts across the U.S.
The Junior League of Austin will host its annual fundraiser which will include over 200 vendors from across the U.S. for attendees to shop a variety of items just in time for the holidays. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit’s mission, programs and outreach.

Interested individuals can participate in the race in a variety of ways, including the timed or untimed 5-mile run, 1-mile walk/run or the kids' 1K. The event will benefit nonprofit Caritas of Austin, which works toward preventing and ending homelessness in Austin by providing homes and tailored services.
