A dedicated group of volunteers helps to maintain and support the New Braunfels parks system every year. To honor their efforts, the New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department hosted the 11th annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner in October at the New Braunfels Civic/Convention Center. According to city officials, parks and recreation volunteers play a role in projects such as park cleanups, tree planting and mulching, trail building and repair, planting and weeding landscape beds and assisting at special events. “The amount of time that our volunteers donate yearly is remarkable,” said Stacey Dicke, city of New Braunfels Director of Parks and Recreation. “The department is truly privileged to have this quality of service contributed by our volunteers.” Volunteers and organizations that were recognized are listed below:   2019 Award Winners
