TxDOT plans closure of California Boulevard–Loop 337 intersection in New Braunfels

The Texas Department of Transportation will close the intersection of Loop 337 and California Boulevard beginning Sept. 23.

The Texas Department of Transportation will close the intersection of Loop 337 and California Boulevard beginning Sept. 23.

The Texas Department of Transportation announced a planned closure of the intersection at California Boulevard and Loop 337 from Sept. 23-27 from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

TxDOT will reconstruct the intersection as part of the ongoing Loop 337 project. According to a city of New Braunfels news release, detour routes will be in place for drivers accessing Loop 337, California and Georgia Place.

For access from Loop 337 to California, vehicles can take Oakwood Boulevard to Elmwood Street and onto California. Vehicles can access Loop 337 from California by taking Elmwood to Oakwood.

In order to access Loop 337 from Georgia, vehicles must travel to California and onto Elmwood before using Oakwood.
