KB Home purchased 20 acres of land off Spring Cypress Road and North Eldridge Parkway in Tomball in July for Willow Wood Place, a new residential community. Cara Kane, senior director at KB Home, said in an email the 105 single-family home community will break ground in February or March 2020, with homes ranging from 1,234-2,646 square feet and ranging in price from $195,000-$240,000. Build-out is tentatively scheduled to be complete in late 2020, she said. Homes will also include energy- and water-efficient faucets and fixtures, Kane said, as well as a detention pond, according to the site map for Willow Wood Place. "These energy- and water-saving features are estimated to save homebuyers in utility costs compared to other typical resale homes, depending on floor plan," Kane said in an email. Homebuyers can also personalize several aspects of their new home, she said, including countertops, cabinets, lighting, appliances and window coverings.

“The Tomball-Cypress area is a very attractive market for KB Home to build and create new home communities at an attainable price. We have seen tremendous growth and desirability among new homebuyers due to the affordability and accessibility to major transportation thoroughfares, providing an easy commute to employment centers in The Woodlands, Willowbrook and northwest Beltway area," said Brett Dietz, president of KB Home's Houston division, in an email.
