Rosie Cannonball, a European eatery by Goodnight Hospitality, opened Aug. 29 at 1620 Westheimer Road. The restaurant features a wood-burning grill and oven, and a menu offering original breads and pizzas, vegetable and meat dishes, as well as curated wines and cocktails.

Purple Kow opened its first Houston location at 2531 University Blvd. on Aug. 26. The shop offers a variety of coffee and teas, iced milk drinks, milk teas and fruit smoothies with toppings such as caramel, chocolate pudding and jelly.

Montrose Cheese & Wine opened Aug. 14 at 1618 Westheimer Road, Houston. The specialty shop offers a selection of 12-15 cheeses and 125 wines, as well as coffee, olive oil and more. The shop has space for dine-in seating for about 10 people at the bar and plans to host tastings and other events.
