Construction on Two Lakes Edge, a 386-apartment building planned at Hughes Landing Boulevard and Lake Woodlands Drive, reached a milestone in early June with the topping out of the eight-story building.

The building is expected to be completed in spring 2020, and preleasing will begin in late 2019, officials with developer Howard Hughes Corp. said.

Adjacent to Lake Woodlands, the complex will offer single-story one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with an average size of 997 square feet as well as microunits, or efficiency apartments. It will also offer garage parking, a resort-style pool, a coworking space, a wine room, a fitness center, a yoga area and a sky lounge.

Units also feature home automation, which allows tenants to control door locks, thermostats and lights remotely.

The neighboring building, One Lakes Edge, completed in 2015, was the first multifamily project at Hughes Landing.

The Two Lakes Edge complex also includes 11,000 square feet of retail space.
