Healthy Williamson County, the county’s health and wellness coalition, released its top five health priorities for the county in April. The health priorities came alongside the coalition’s 2019 Community Health Assessment, which examined Williamson County’s health status and issues. The coalition—which is made up of organizations, governments, schools, nonprofits, health care groups and faith-based organizations—plans to use the health assessment to create an improvement plan to address the top five priorities, according to its website. The priorities include the following: behavioral health, stress and well-being; chronic disease risk factors; social determinants of health; access and affordability of health care; and building a resilient Williamson County, according to documents from Healthy Williamson County.
