1. Champions Drive upgrades
A $13.3 million joint project between Harris County Precinct 4 and Champions Municipal Utility District to upgrade Champions Drive from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a two-lane concrete pavement section is underway, said Pamela Rocchi, director of Harris County Precinct 4 Capital Improvements Program.

2. Gosling Road widening
Harris County Precinct 4 is widening Gosling Road from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane concrete pavement section between West Mossy Oaks and West Rayford roads, including the bridge across Willow Creek, in this $9.4 million project.
Timeline: March 21, 2018-fourth quarter 2019
Cost: $9.4 million

3. Holderrieth Road extension
A $6 million project to extend Holderrieth Road as a five-lane boulevard with drainage between Calvert Road and Hwy. 249 was delayed due to inclement weather and is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2019, Rocchi said.

4. Spring Cypress Road improvements
A $5.52 million project to add traffic signals and improve turn lanes on Spring Cypress Road was awarded to Third Coast Construction, and the notice to proceed was issued March 11, Rocchi said. The project is expected to be complete by June 3, 2020, and includes installing traffic signals at several points on Spring Cypress Road as well as turn-lane improvements between Telge Road and FM 2920.

5. Gosling Road Section 3 extension
Precinct 4 plans to seek bid authorization in the second quarter of 2019 for the final design phase of a $6.5 million project to upgrade the two-lane asphalt roadway on Gosling Road to a four-lane concrete boulevard with drainage between West Rayford Road and Creekside Forest Drive, Rocchi said.

6. Gleannloch Forest Drive widening
Precinct 4 is in the design phase of a project to widen Gleannloch Forest Drive, a two-lane road, to four lanes between the Grand Parkway and 1,400 feet south of the Grand Parkway. The project was awarded to Teamwork Construction Services by Harris County Commissioners Court on March 26. The bid and award process takes approximately 90-120 days to complete, and a construction date will be determined thereafter, Rocchi said.
