Here are Hwy. 288 closures to know this weekend.



As the Brazoria County Expressway is scheduled to wrap up in late summer, construction on the road continues. Drivers should keep this in mind as they travel on 288, particularly between Broadway Street and McHard Road in Pearland.

One lane will be closed on the Hwy. 288 northbound frontage road from north of Broadway Street to south of McHard Road. Originally scheduled to end May 6, the closure has been extended through 3 p.m. May 17. Traffic will have access to the northbound frontage road as well as the McHard entrance to Hwy. 288 northbound.

There will be a total closure on Hwy. 288 northbound from Broadway Street to McHard Road from 9 p.m., May 17 to 8 a.m., May 18.

There will be a total closure on Hwy. 288 southbound from south of McHard Road to south of Broadway Street from 9 p.m., May 21 to 5 a.m., May 22.

There will be a total closure on Hwy. 288 northbound from north of Broadway Street to south of McHard Road from 9 p.m., May 22 to 5 a.m., May 23.
