Updated at 8:25 p.m., May 6 Voters sent Alvin ISD incumbents Tiffany Wennerstrom and Nicole Tonini back for another three years on the school board, according to final poll results. Wennerstrom is a retired teacher. “I am very excited to serve our community for another three years, very overwhelmed in the trust that the community has placed in me," Wennerstrom said. "With a new superintendent, I think we have great things in store for us.” Tonini, a mother and homemaker, said she was humbled by the great support she had for the election. "I'm honored at the opportunity that I have to serve this district that I love," she said. Updated at 10:39 p.m., May 4 Voting results showed Alvin ISD incumbents Tiffany Wennerstrom and Nicole Tonini leading in their races late election night with more results possibly coming in. Wennerstrom had received 1,361 votes, or 63.81%, to challenger Paul Needham’s 772 votes, or 36.19% by 11 p.m. Tonini had garnered 1,422 votes, or 66.14%, to Murray’s 728, or 33.86%. Tonini serves as board president by then. All results are unofficial until canvassed.
