What we reported: City officials began a yearlong process in February to update the comprehensive plan adopted in 2009.

The latest: The comprehensive plan update is in the draft review phase, Community Development Director Craig Meyers said. He said the update is expected to be brought before Tomball City Council for adoption in the second quarter of 2019. Thoroughfare and future land use plans will be revised, which could change where future residential and commercial properties are developed. Trail systems will also be a focus, he said.
