Crews will be shifting traffic to the south side of RM 2244, or Bee Caves Road, from Buckeye Trail to Camp Craft Road to allow crews room to work on the north side of the roadway, a press release from the Texas Department of Transportation said. Temporary pavement was installed Oct. 31, and weather permitting, work is scheduled from Sunday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, the release said. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and various closures will also occur during this time. On Monday morning, Bee Caves Road will return to four-lanes. Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the closure and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes as delays are expected. The RM 2244 improvement project will improve mobility and safety by converting the four-lane roadway into a five-lane highway by adding a center-turn lane, shoulders and sidewalks, according to the release.
